Minecraft Sword Patterns

Description

So I don't own minecraft or any of their designs. I do think it's a really awesome game though, and having a copy of one of the tools in real life just seems like a lot of fun to me, so I made some patterns.

The first pattern I made was a little more detailed, and had a bunch of extras included, but it was just a sword, and it was just an iron one. You can find it here: [link]

These just have the pattern in png format for each material, but that's because I made a pattern for EVERYTHING. The swords and the pickaxes will probably be the most popular, and I'm personally partial to axes, but I made a set of shovel and hoe patterns anyway. Why not?

The method I would personally suggest for constructing this is to get a bunch of foam cubes (the soft, plush ones they give to kids to count), probably about 1" big, paint them, and glue them all together according to the pattern (Though sturdy foam cubes might be difficult to find). You could also try wood cubes, but when you get up to numbers like 80 they can get heavy. You could get some foam board and cut it to shape, but I generally find foam board doesn't have that same soft flexibility.

You'll also need to think about paint. You could probably get all the shades you need straight out of the bottle, but personally, I reccomend buying a brown, black, white, teal if you're making a diamond tool, and gold/yellow if you're making a gold one. You can then mix from there.

**This particular pattern calls for 84 cubes, or a 16x16 piece of foam board.**
